Mind-blowing pencil portraits

Mind-blowing pencil portraits

Pencils are a diverse medium, allowing artists to create anything their minds can think of– but Italian artist Franco Clun is an illustrator like no other. The self-taught artist uses nothing but pencils to create hyper-realistic portraits of people both famous and unknown. The pieces, while simply pencil on paper, bear a striking resemblance to black and white photography. Each portrait Clun draws takes roughly 50 hours, and is sold for around 500 euros– and each one is more stunning than the last. More of Clun’s work can be viewed on his Deviantart.
