Vernnie was born and raised in Selangor, Malaysia. After graduated in Fine Art Illustration course in The One Academy, she moved to Singapore to work as a visualiser in DDB. There, she spent 4 years plus working with different clients on storyboards, key visuals and illustrations for campaigns. Working in an advertising company had given her significant insight in producing fast and high quality works for brands but she personally wanted to explore more as an illustrator. She's always enjoyed drawing portraits and people, ever since she was a kid. So, she started her career as a freelance illustrator and later on, moved to Sweden. With the change of environment, I find inspirations through the daily routine, culture & food, 'fika', weather and nature.
