Sjoerd Jansen’s Studio Anti-Held (anti-hero in English) is a Netherlands based freelance illustrator who excels at working on music/film/comic inspired assignments. Pop-culture provides him with endless inspiration. Besides this, he is also quite interested in history, architecture and the outdoors, as you can frequently see these elements in his work. Having a background in printmaking he basically designs all his art so that it’s possible to screen print. he can draw anything and can easily make good-looking portraits. His illustrations are rough but realistic combining black ink with vibrant colours and influenced by Art Nouveau and Surrealism. His work can often be found in the music industry, on concert posters and album art. He is also no stranger to working on big murals, comics, editorial illustrations and T-shirt designs.
