Denise Turu, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In her early twenties, she was selected to exhibit her paintings at an art gallery in New York. One year later, in 2000, she moved to The Big Apple. She exhibited her artwork in art galleries in Manhattan and Brooklyn. During her stay in New York, Turu worked in set design studios, painted murals and worked also as a freelance illustrator. Many years later she moved to Europe and she lived in Paris, London, Dublin and Barcelona where she participated in various artist residencies. She has also worked for Multimedia and Games agencies around the world. She is the author and Illustrator of a number of children books. Many of her illustrations have been published in magazines and also in advertising. Today she lives and work as an illustrator / fine artist in Barcelona, Spain.
